Hotel Plaza is very well located if you're looking for something not so expensive and easy to get in and out from Venezia. Landing from VCE you can take the ATVO Express bus, which drops you no more than 3 minutes from the Hotel. It's a bit expensive but it's worth. Takes around 20 minutes and costs 10 euros per person per direction. If you buy online, you can also schedule departure and return which saves you some euros. Don't waste you time by getting to Venezia by trams or buses. Regional trains leave the Mestre station almost every 10 minutes, which is in front of the hotel, you really just need to cross the street, for 1.45 euros per person each direction and takes around 10 minutes to get to Venezia. The hotel also has good restaurant, which was our pick for the first night since we were pretty tired. They didn't mention here in Booking, but while there might not be an electrical kettle in your room, you can request hot water in that same restaurant from 6AM to midnight. You also have a supermarket 5 minutes walking from it which has a lot of options too. All the short interactions we had with the staff were always courteous, in well spoken English or Italian. One thing worth mentioning, but I'll not mention as a con, because I also didn't pursuit to change it, but the pillows were really hard. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillow was like sleeping on a tree's trunk. I could/should ask for something softer, but after 6 hours of taking pictures and enjoying Venice, a good part of my body lacked skills to communicate and I just wanted to sleep, which I succeeded too. The breakfast is good. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it at all. You get pancakes from a machine, croissants, cake and some hot food as well as coffee (duh!) and juices.

The room was the perfect size for a family of four, with two large double beds and ample space for luggage and movement. The bathroom was also spacious, featuring a generously sized shower and a separate toilet/bidet area. The lighting in both the bedroom and bathroom was well thought out. The minibar fridge was very quiet, much like the air conditioning. The entrance area was inviting, with seating and beautiful designer lamps and furniture, possibly original pieces from the 70s. Although we didn’t opt for the hotel breakfast, we had a light breakfast at the cafe connected to the hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel entrance is directly across from the train station, making it incredibly easy to hop on a train to Venice. While the hotel doesn't have its own parking, they offer discounts for parking at a lot just behind the hotel.

Location was fantastic . Mestre itself is very close to venice railway station St Luccia . Hotel is located right in front of train station and Bus stand hence very easy to travel around Italy by road or by train if one so desires. Room was spacious and bathroom clean. In house Breakfast was sumptuous and good quality . It was bit like a retro style Hotel which matched with the Rustic era of venetian lifestyle with earthy tones and natural texture used in the decor with simplistic touch wherein a few modern gadgets have been pushed in to provide the comfort of contemporary lifestyle .The staff was very courteous and helpful and they spoke english.. The in house restaurant was great.

Just what we wanted, we went for the deluxe room, and it was massive. Huge double bed nice and firm. The whole hotel was very clean. Maid service really good. Toilets in Italy can be a little iffy, but all good in that area. The no2 bus to venice stopped literally just outside, although always crowded, not a long journey at all, and run after midnight. You have the option of a train too if you prefer but can be confusing. Get yourselves a night cap at the hotel bar next door and take it to your room. Express airport 20 min service stops 100m away, so really good too, just make sure you get the ticket for train station not the 'city'.

The breakfast was nice and the room's size was great. No noise in the night even near to the railway station. Pretty convenient to move in and out from venice island by railway. They offer a luggage keeping option for free pretty convenient to take the most of your time (and they offer an early check in on the entrance day free of cost as the room was already prepared).
